Maintain Healthy Rituals
Feeling great after early morning run & meditation in beautiful autumnal sunshine!
However, I realise that such healthy rituals are not always easy to maintain. Sometimes it’ s poor sleep & consequent tiredness which makes a few more minutes under the duvet seem a better option or its just a feeling that there are too many other activities demanding my attention.
So, I recommend planning, the day before, to achieve a good sleep and this begins with avoidance of all stimulants such as caffeine, sugar, chocolate & alcohol.
Give yourself a wind down time after 9pm when TV, computers or stimulating music are replaced with a warm salt bath, lavender & candles! Follow this with a relaxing blend of herbal tea with chamomile, hops, valerian & vervain or even a milky drink.
In my experience – deep sleep does not always come easily but is certainly possible with some consious changes and morning exercise ensures the best start to the day!
