Healthy Ageing
Our 60’s, 70’s,80’s and even 90’s can be a wonderful age of fulfilment & contentment when we have time, energy & health to enrich our lives and be of service to family and our community.
Yet for some it’s a downward journey of physical & mental ill health, loneliness and loss of independence.
So, can we really change the trajectory of our health, because let’s face it, as we reach retirement age – we generally do have more time & hopefully we have invested in wealth to have enough (or at least to be content with what we have).
All we need is our health or at least to feel that we have some control to be as healthy as we possibly can be.
Of course, the investment we make in our health throughout our lives will certainly make a difference.
However, it is never, ever too late to change habits – not just to maintain health but also to reverse ill health, and to feel & look younger.
I have decades of experience as a nurse within NHS & over 20 years of privately helping people of all ages treat disease with nutrition & lifestyle medicine.
My interest now is to support clients plan & prepare for healthy ageing. In fact, to visualise how you would like to live the last decade of life, and to help you achieve those goals.
Lifestyle strategies apply to everyone, however, I personally understand the challenges of women who innately give so much of themselves to supporting ageing parents, children & grandchildren at the expense of their own self- care.
