As a Naturopath
As a Naturopath, it is important for me to embrace the changing seasons. Therefore, as the days become darker and colder, I would like to share with you some of my tips to help you to stay warm, positive and well during the coming winter months.
It’s time to enjoy all those seasonal coloured root vegetables, such as sweet potato, beetroot, butternut squash and pumpkin. Simply, baked, roasted, or made into nourishing soups, will keep you warm and also provide essential anti oxidants to keep you looking young and feeling well.
Adding warming spices, such as black pepper, ginger, cumin, cloves, or chilli really will keep you warm from the inside and also have powerful health benefits!
Enjoy warming herbal teas with cinnamon or ginger as a healthy alternative to caffeine.
You can also feel instantly warmed by adding ginger or black pepper essential oils to your bath if you are feeling cold & shivery.
And of course simply sensing the aroma of these warming spices will lift your spirit and make you feel better!
