New Years Resolutions

 

·        Drink the freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon on rising every morning to cleanse and stimulate your metabolism.

 

·        Make breakfast the most nutritious meal of your day – include natural cereals, fresh or dried fruit, wheat germ, flaxseeds natural low fat yogurt and sweeten with maple syrup or honey.

 

·        Drink herbal tea such as nettle, dandelion, lemon & ginger or green tea to cleanse and strengthen digestion.

 

·        Eat more soups and winter warming stews with vegetables, lentils, pulses, lean meat, chicken, fish and warming spices.

 

·        Ensure daily essential fatty acids by eating oily fish, seeds, nuts and oils such as hemp seed oil.

 

·        Fruit should be eaten on an empty stomach – ideal for breakfast and makes a great mid morning or afternoon snack.  Make a habit of fruit smoothies for all those essential vitamins.

 

·        Chew your food well and eat regularly – very important to ensure healthy digestion and prevention of sugar cravings.
